Critical Minds & Compassionate Hearts- Bagh-e-Sakina’s Impactful Training at CFT Trust School
Introduction:
In a dedicated effort to enhance the critical thinking skills of children and create a more inclusive classroom environment, Bagh-e-Sakina’s team recently conducted a comprehensive three-day training program for both teachers and students at CFT Trust School. The initiative aimed not only to impart knowledge but also to promote inclusivity, child rights, and civic engagement. This program is funded and supported by ISD Global’s Young Cities and Hive Pakistan.
Children Training:
Team Bagh-e-Sakina successfully engaged with approximately 40 students through activity-based training sessions. These sessions were designed to provide children with tools that enhance their ability to think critically about their environment. Post-analysis surveys conducted in the school unveiled a remarkable improvement of over 30% in the participants’ knowledge about the training material.
Positive Feedback and Sustainable Impact:
Informal feedback sessions with teachers, students, and school staff echoed positive remarks, expressing genuine appreciation for the training provided. Recognizing the need for sustainability, the team extended its efforts to train teachers. The overwhelmingly positive participation from educators indicated a lasting impact, with teachers reporting that students consistently spoke about Bagh-e-Sakina’s training. The school management expressed a desire for continued training sessions to enhance teacher exposure and foster a more inclusive classroom environment.
